Alison Huskey
Opening Peek-A-Boo's Pet Sitting in the Fall of 2005 was a dream come true for me. I have had dogs and cats as pets since I was a little girl, and have always loved all types of animals. I named my business Peek-A-Boo's after our family pet, who died in April, 2005.

Since opening, we have taken care of 259 dogs, 145 cats, 6 birds, 6 hamsters, 5 rabbits, 5 guinea pigs, 3 lizards, 2 iguanas, 2 hissing cockroaches, 1 ferret and several fish. We have made visits for 158 human customers!

I truly love knowing that our customers trust us to take great care of their pets while they are gone. I currently have a Sheltie named Honey, a Maltese named Zoey, and 4 cats; Chocolate, Tiger, Wally and Cwan (which stands for - Cat Without A Name). My goal is to provide a professional, caring, in-your-home pet sitting service where your - and your pet's - satisfaction is my guarantee.

Deborah Yaklin
Deborah began working for Peek-A-Boo’s in October, 2009 as a full-time employee. Originally from Texas, she has lived in Wilkes County for several years. She has experience working at PetSmart in Albany, NY and also has grooming experience. She has 5 dogs and 3 cats at home and is engaged to John Brooks, who is from Wilkes. Deborah has been a tremendous asset to Peek-A-Boo’s. She has done a wonderful job and takes care of our customer’s pets with great care and compassion.

Dedra Roberts
Debra has been a part-time sitter for Peek-A-Boo’s since December,2007. She works full-time at the Wilkes Public Dental Health Clinic. Dedra has 2 sons, Tyler and Tanner, as well as Mattie and Deacon, her 2 dogs. Dedra loves our customer’s pets and takes care of them as if they were her own.

Susie Kemp
Susie began her relationship with Peek-A-Boo’s as a customer in December, 2008. She mentioned to me shortly afterwards that if I ever needed part-time help, that she would like to work. Susie was hired as
a part-time employee in April, 2009. Susie has 3 Great Danes, Maggie, Phantom (who is deaf) and Gracie, along with Neugan, a sweet German Shepherd. Susie is an Intensive Care Nurse and recently completed her Dog Grooming training from WCC. Susie does a great job!

Donna Shomaker
Needing a pet-sitter when no one else was available was Donna’s door into becoming an employee of Peek-A-Boo’s. In 2008, she first began filling in, and wouldn’t accept a pay check. I made her fill out her tax forms in June, 2009 and she became a part-time employee (with pay!). Donna has made visits on numerous occasions on short notice and has been named our life-saver! She is very dependable and trustworthy.
